Bone SpurA bone spur is an overgrowth of bone or cartilage commonly from the onset of arthritis. If the bone spur is in an area that’s prone to pressure it can cause major pain and discomfort. The skin overlying the bone spur can become irritated and the causes skin buildup known as corns or calluses.
